Features and Information
This helmet features Specialized's Mindset retention system. For maximum comfort, the rear strap can be raised or lowered, and the convenient, micro-adjustable dial provides a perfect fit.
The fit of the helmet is excellent. It is superlight, has incredible ventilation, and the chin strap is barely noticeable.
This is by far the best helmet I've owned. I recently crashed on wet roads doing 30+ mph and my bike and body got pretty torn up, but my head was not affected at all. The helmet broke apart like it is supposed to and stayed exactly where it is supposed to on my head throughout the wreck.
We buy helmets to protect us and this one is absolutely the best both while riding and when hitting the pavement. I bought another one same day.

The Specialized helmets fits nearly every head shape (everyone I know has tried it and loved it) and is super comfortable. Add that to the fact that the Prevail is sooooooo light it is like wearing a baseball hat - that light and that comfortable! Worth ever penny.

Purchased a Giro Prolight. Very light but never comfortable. Crashed and cracked the Giro. Chose Specialized Prevail for replacement. Owned a Specialized before & was always happy with the Specialized comfort/fit.
The Specialized Prevail is nearly as light as the Prolight but the comfort & airflow are far superior. Highly recommended.
